Why do you need a wedding planner? Can you not organise it yourselves? Leave it up to the bride-to-be I think, they know what they want sometimes better than a wedding planner

It depends on how much time you have. If you are really busy, but would still like a classy and well-presented wedding (a time-consuming affair to organise) then a wedding planner is the way to go. Otherwise save your bucks and organise it yourself.

It doesn't matter that my mum lives 20 miles away in Enniskillen - she practically runs my life and has basically organised my wedding for me!

OK! So your Big Day can be entrusted to strangers?!?! I wouldn't dream o fletting anyone else organise my wedding. I'm getting married in Coleraine and reception is in the Causeway Hotel, and I have every single little detail planned out (at least i think i do!)

Well done clubkaren! but i'm a single working mum at the moment, and I think wedding planners are the way to go if you have a little extra cash.

Wedding planners are a waste of time. By the time you've sensed them into what you want, you could have organised what you want yourself!

Hi Guys I am a wedding planner but I only cover Weddings in Cyprus. Not everyone feels confident in handing the reins over to a wedding planner but personally I think that once you meet your planner and if you decide that you like their personality and they way they operate then it can be like a huge sigh of relief to be able to pass the organising over to someone else. Don't forget they will take away all the stress and you still make all the decisions! If you are looking for a local wedding planner try http://www.shebangonline.co.uk/ Good Luck :)
